Public Works has approximately 2,150 yards of pea gravel aggregate that has been produced as a byproduct of a
screening process that produced sand as the primary product. Since Public Works has no use for the pea gravel, the
wtment is requesting that the County Council declare the gravel surplus so that it may be sold by sealed bid to
u. highest bidder following the procedures in WCC 1,10.200. The gravel shall not be sold to any County employee
or to. a member of an employee's immediate family.
CLERK'S RECOMMENDED MOTION (for final action):
1 move that the Council hold public hearing to consider sale of the property.

RESOLUTION NO. 95 -019
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE
SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY
AND THE SETTING OF A DATE FOR PUBLIC
HEARING THEREON PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10
WHEREAS, approximately 2,150 yards of pea gravel aggregate is the
property of Whatcom County; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Purchasing Agent has determined that it
is in the best interest of the County to sell such property, and has
set its value at an amount in excess of $1,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that a
public hearing on the matter of the sale of such property be held on
the 14th day of March , 1995, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon
thereafter as is possible, in the County Council Chambers in the
Whatcom County Courthouse at 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham,
Washington, for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against
the propriety of selling such equipment; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County Council is
directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by
law.
