RESOLUTION NO. 95 -005
2 DESIGNATION OF TREASURER AS NEGOTIATOR IN SALE OF TAX TITLE PROPERTY
3 AS DESCRIBED IN R.C.W. 84.64.320
4 WHEREAS, the county legislative authority may dispose of tax foreclosed property by private
5 negotiation under certain circumstances described in R.C.W. 84.64.320; and,
6 WHEREAS, these properties may not be sold for less than the principal amount of the unpaid
7 taxes; and,
8 WHEREAS, the Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the record of unpaid taxes on
9 foreclosed property; and,
10 WHEREAS, it is in the county's best interest to designate a person responsible for acting as
11 a negotiator on the county's behalf in sales of this nature;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the
:3 Whatcom County Treasurer shall be authorized to act as negotiator in sales of tax title property as
14 described in R.C.W. 84.64.320.
