ORDINANCE NO. 95 -067
2 RESCINDING A NO SHOOTING ZONE IN THE NELSON ROAD AREA
3 WHEREAS, a citizen petitioned the Whatcom County Council for the formation
4 of a no- shooting zone in the established residential area known as the Nelson Road
5 Area; and
6 WHEREAS, Whatcom County Council adopted Ordinance 94 -013 creating the
7 requested no- shooting zone before realizing that the required signatures of sixty percent
8 of the property owners within the proposed boundaries of the zone were not obtained;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, a new section of the Whatcom County Code 9.32 was added to
11 create a new no- shooting zone described as follows:
12 A. No shooting zone number 19 also is known as the Nelson Road Area.
13 B. The boundaries are described as follows: The east half of Section 17,
14 township 38 north, range 5 east of W.M., except the south 300 feet thereof. All in
15 Whatcom County, Washington.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
17 Ordinance 94 -013 is hereby rescinded.
18 ADOPTED this 12 day of December . 1995.
