ORDINANCE NO. 95 -054
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING INSTALLING STOP SIGNS
ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found
necessary and expedient to modify traffic control signs on certain County Roads; and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's office;
and it is found that conditions warrant intersectional control modification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
intersectional traffic control be modified at the following locations:
1) Install a stop sign Eastbound on Fir Street at Beach Way; Section 24, Township
40 North, Range 1 West of W.M.
2) Install a stop sign Westbound on Fir Street at Beach Way; Section 24, Township
40 North, Range 1 West of W.M.
3) Install a stop sign Eastbound on Alder Street at Beach Way; Section 24, Township
40 North, Range 1 West of W.M.
4) Install a stop sign Westbound on Alder Street at Beach Way; Section 24,
Township 40 North, Range 1 West of W.M.
5) Install a stop sign Westbound on Cedar Street at Beach Way; Section 24,
Township 40 North, Range 1 West of W.M.
6) Install a stop sign Eastbound on Fern Street at Beach Way; Section 24, Township
40 North, Range 1 West of W.M.
7) Install a stop sign Westbound on Maple Street at Beach Way; Section 24,
Township 40 North, Range 1 West of W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to
install the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington
State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
