1 ORDINANCE NO. 95 -n5o
2 AN ORDINANCE INSTALLING STOP SIGNS ON
3 HOPEWELL ROAD AT SIPER ROAD AND GOODWIN ROAD
4 WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found necessary
5 and expedient to modify traffic control signs on certain County Roads; and
6 WHEREAS, it is found that tree planting, landscaping, and agricultural practices have
7 changed sight distance conditions so as to warrant intersectional control modification.
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
9 intersectional traffic control be modified at the following locations:
10 1) Install a stop sign westbound on Hopewell Road at Siper Road; within Section 9,
11 Township 39 North, Range 4 East, W.M.
12 2) Install a stop sign eastbound on Hopewell Road at Goodwin Road; within Section
13 9, Township 39 North, Range 4 East, W.M.
14 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install
15 the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington State Patrol
16 be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
17 Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code, Section
18 10.16.
19 ADOPTED this 17 day of October 1995.
