The County Clerk is assuming all responsibilities for the collection of juvenile offender legal financial
obligations. In order to install a satellite cash register in the Juvenile Probation office, the County
Clerk requests- an increase of $100.00 in the Clerk's Change Fund.

ORDINANCE NO. 95 -007
AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE
COUNTY CLERK'S CASH DRAWER /CHANGE FUND
WHEREAS, the County Clerk's office is in the process of assuming all cash receipting
responsibilities for the collection of juvenile offender legal financial obligations heretofore
receipted by the juvenile probation office, and,
WHEREAS, the County Clerk is causing to be installed in the juvenile probation
office a satellite cash register of the'statewide JASS accounting system, inluding a state -owned
personal computer, receipt printer and cash drawer, and,
WHEREAS, it is often necessary to provide change for the above transactions,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
Whatcom County Clerk's Cash Drawer /Change Fund is hereby increased to the sum of TWO
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00), being an increase of $100.00 for the purpose of
establishing a change fund of said amount for the County Clerk's Juvenile Division cash
register.
