SUBJECT.- Ordinance regarding establishing a 25 mph speed limit on the following roads:
All roads within the Plat of Lincoln Green, specifically Morningside Drive, Moonglow Court,
Moonglow Place and Bayshore Drive, located within Section 19, Township 40 North, Range 1 East
of W.M.; and
All roads within the Plat of Lakeview Estates, specifically Langara Circle, Cordero Drive and Gabriola
Court, located within Section 27, Township 38 North, Range 3 East of.W.M.; and'
Lakemont Road for its entire length, located within Section 15, Township 38 North, Range 3 East
of W.M.; and
Pence Avenue from Rural Avenue east for its entire length, located within Sections 8 and 9,
Township 38 North, Range 2 East of W.M.

warrant a 25 mph speed limit on the above roads.

ORDINANCE NO. 96 -04.5
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS
ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.62.415 to establish
speed limits on certain County roads; and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's office;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the speed limit
of 25 mph be established on the following roads:
All roads within the Plat of Lincoln Green,. specifically Morningside Drive, Moonglow Court,
Moonglow Place and Bayshore Drive, located within Section 19, Township 40 North, Range 1 East
of W.M.; and
All roads within the Plat of Lakeview Estates, specifically Langara Circle, Cordero Drive and
Gabriola Court, located within Section 27, Township 38 North, Range 3 East of W.M.; and
Lakemont Road for its entire length, located within Section 15, Township 38-,North, Range
3 East of W.M.; and
Pence Avenue from Rural Avenue east for its entire length, located within Sections 8 and 9,
Township 38 North, Range 2 East of W.M.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install the
appropriate signs and the the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington State Patrol be notified
by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code, Section 10.04.030.
