1 ORDINANCE NO. 96 -040
2 AN ORDINANCE IN THE MATTER OF TRANSFERRING
3 OWNERSHIP OF A NON - EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE FROM THE
4 NORTH LYNDEN WATER ASSOCIATION TO THE CITY OF
5 LYNDEN
6 WHEREAS, The North Lynden Water Association was
7 granted a non - exclusive franchise dated February 10, 1978; and
8 WHEREAS, The North Lynden Water Association has
9 requested written consent from the Whatcom County Council to
10 transfer all rights, obligations, title and interest over to the City of
11 Lynden;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of
13 Whatcom County, Washington that this transfer has been approved
14 and any and all franchises including all rights, obligations, title and
5 interest granted to the North Lynden Water Association shall be
16 transferred to the City of Lynden.
17 ADOPTED this 1 day of OctobeV 199 6 .
