,SUMMARY STATEMENT:
.rhe original franchises date back to the 1950's and have been archived. Therefore the attached ordinance is written
in a manner to transfer any and all franchises previously issued to the Kok Road Water Association to be considered
null and void with the passing of this ordinance.

1 ORDINANCE NO. 96 -039
2 AN ORDINANCE IN THE MATTER OF TRANSFERRING
3 OWNERSHIP OF A NON - EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE FROM THE
4 KOK ROAD WATER ASSOCIATION TO THE CITY OF
5 LYNDEN
6 WHEREAS, The Kok Road Water Association was granted
7 non - exclusive franchises dated back to the 1950's; and
8 WHEREAS, The Kok Road Water Association has requested
9 written consent from the Whatcom County Council to transfer all
10 rights, obligations, title and interest over to the City of Lynden;
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of
12 Whatcom County, Washington that this transfer has been approved
13 and any and all franchises including all rights, obligations, title and
14 interest granted to the Kok Road Water Association shall be
:5 transferred to the City of Lynden.
