Supplemental Budget Ordinance No. 3 adds appropriation to the following budgets:
Current Expense:
1) The supplemental request for the Current Expense Fund, Juvenile Court Administration, appropriates $41,000
from state grant moneys for "Community Building Prevention Project" and $25,800 from state grant moneys for "Best
'f Summer Program." -
�, The supplemental request for the Current Expense Fund, Superior Court, appropriates $9,411 for payment of
judicial benefits from 1995.
3) The supplemental request for the Current. Expense Fund, Prosecuting Attorney, appropriates $28,596 from a
transfer from the Administrative Services fund to increase the safety officer's position from half time to full time.
4) The supplemental request for the Current Expense Fund, Sheriff's Office, appropriates $10,000 from Current
Expense fund balance to pay for repair and maintenance of the jail.
5) The supplemental request for the Current Expense Fund, Treasurer, appropriates $3,692 from Current Expense
Fund balance to train new accountant (replacing retiree).
6) The supplemental request for the Current Expense Fund, Planning & Development, appropriates $25,000 from
Current Expense fund balance for consultant services.
7) The supplemental request for the Current Expense Fund, Parks & Recreation Department, appropriates $7,680
from donations and an interfund transfer from Administrative Services, to fund extra help.
8) The supplemental request for the Administrative Services Fund appropriates $28,596 to transfer to Current
Expense to fund the Prosecuting Attorney's staff increase of the safety officer position from .5 to 1 FTE.

ORDINANCE NO. 96 -020
AMENDMENT NO.3 TO THE 1996 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the 1996 budget was adopted November 28, 1995; and,
WHEREAS, changing circumstances require modifications to the approved 1996 budget;
and,
WHEREAS, those modifications have been assembled here for deliberation by the
Whatcom County Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
1996 Whatcom County budget ordinance 95 -065 is hereby amended by adding the following
amounts to the funds included therein:
