Hearing Examiner"

7 AMENDING ORDINANCE 98 -080, THE 1999 WHATCOM COUNTY
8 UNIFIED FEE SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE APPEALS TO THE HEARING EXAMINER FOR
9 CODE VIOLATION AND FOR OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE DECISIONS

11 WHEREAS, on December 11, 1998 the Whatcom County Council approved the 1999
12 Whatcom County Unified Fee Schedule by adopting Ordinance 98 -080; and
13
14 WHEREAS, the fees adopted in the 1999 Unified Fee Schedule are necessary for the
15 efficient and effective operation of County Government; and
16
17 WHEREAS, from time to time it is necessary to develop new, or adjust existing fees and
18 charges; and

20 WHEREAS, the name of "Hearing Examiner: Appeal/Administrative Decision to
21 Hearing Examiner" be changed to "Hearing Examiner: Administrative Appeal - Code Violation
22 to Hearing Examiner "; and

24 WHEREAS, an appeal for Administrative decisions be established at a reduced amount
25 as "Hearing Examiner: Administrative Decision Appeal — Other Administrative Decisions to
26 Hearing Examiner" in the amount of $ 175.00 WCC20.84.250; and

28 WHEREAS, if the appellant prevails, the fee will be refunded.

30 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
31 Ordinance 98 -080 is hereby amended as indicated in Exhibit A to this ordinance.
