UMMARYSTATEMENT.
The Supervisors of newly formed Diking District No. 3 have
devised a system of assessment to provide revenue for the district.
The assessment will be based on the total acreage of the district.
Each property owner will pay a ,proportionate share, based on
the number of acres in their individual parcels, of $1.004 per acre.
for each one thousand dollars of revenue.

10 AUTHORIZING A SYSTEM OF ASSESSMENTS FOR DIKING DISTRICT NO. 3

12 WHEREAS, the supervisors of Diking District No. 3 have chosen to base the assessment
13 solely on acreage, and
14
15 WHEREAS, the total acreage within Diking District No. 3 is 995.69; therefore, to
16 generate one thousand dollars, each acre would be assessed $1.04, and
17
18 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Engineer, in compliance with R.C.W. 85.38.160(2),
19 has prepared a proposed system of assessment for Diking District No. 3 and notified property
20 owners in the district of this system of assessments.

22 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Whatcom County Council that a
23 system of assessment based solely on acreage and assessing $1.004 per acre for each one
24 thousand dollars of the district's assessment revenue is hereby authorized for Diking District No.
