(1) Appropriate $24,000 from CTED grant to provide funding for affordable housing study authorized 11196.
(2) Appropriate a total of $48,453 from various grants to provide money for self - supporting work crew.
Appropriate $2,000 from Community Development Fund to increase appropriation to equal the amount
received in grant revenue (less administrative costs taken in 1997) for the Whatcom Self Help Homes Project.
(4) Appropriate $221,326from the Road Fund, $7,435from the Flood Control Zone, $5,000from the Lake Mgmt
Dist #1 Fund and $14,270 from ER &R Fund for a total of $248,031, to increase the Public Works' 1998
appropriation for approved Additional Service Request inadvertently left out of the final budget appropriation.

ORDINANCE NO. 98 -024
AMENDMENT NO. 3 OF THE 1998 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the 1998 budget was adopted November 25, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, changing circumstances require modifications to the approved 1998 budget;
and,
WHEREAS, the modifications to the budget have been assembled here for deliberation by
the Whatcom County Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the 1998
Whatcom County Budget Ordinance #97 -066 is hereby amended by adding the following
additional amounts to the budgets included therein:
