1 ORDINANCE NO. 97 -014
2 AN ORDINANCE REGARDING ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS.
3 ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS
4 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46.61.415 to
5 establish speed limits on certain County roads; and
6 WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's
7 office;
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
9 the speed limit on Bakerview Road be established as follows:
10 35 miles per hour from Hannegan Road to James Street Road, located within Sections 8
11 and 17, Township 38 North, Range 3 East of W.M., and comprising approximately 1.0
12 miles.
13 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to
14 install the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington
15 State Patrol be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
16 Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code, Section
17 10.04.050, and removed from Section 10.04.060.
