NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council hereby forwards the attached petition to the Whatcom County Auditor. Auditors PETITION FOR THE FORMATION OF THE EVERGREEN WATER -SEWER DISTRICT TO: Whatcom County Council REASONS FOR CREATION OF DISTRICT: To create a quasi - municipal governmental unit to be responsible for the provision of an adequate water supply to persons residing therein, to be responsive to their needs, and to exercise all the powers conferred on such districts by RCW Chapter 57 and other statutory authority. To provide a new entity to administer the existing water system in place of Paradise Lakes Country Club.
