With the dissoulution of Television Reception District #1, the County needs to dispose of the reception tower and
miscellaneous equipment in accordance with RCW36.95.20. The purchasing agent has determined the property to be
:rplus. If the Council resolves to sell, the property will be sold by bid.

RESOLUTION NO. 96 -032
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE SALE
OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY
PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 11, - ; 1996 to discuss the sale of Whatcom County
property; and
WHEREAS, it was determined to be in the best interest of Whatcom County to sell the surplus television
reception equipment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the property shall be sold
by sealed bids subsequent to compliance with the notice requirements of WCC 1.10.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that where there is no bid within the advertised terms the County may
withdraw the property from sale, or if the County deems such action to be in the public interest, reject any
or all bids either written or oral, and thereafter negotiate the sale of the property providing the negotiated
price is higher that the highest bid at the public sale and that the public has notice by advertisement, under
Section 1.10.190, and an opportunity to compete, through mailed bids, for the purchase by offer of a more
favorable price
