5 WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted Annual Road Program as
6 Item No. 17.
7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that CRP
8 994008 is formally established for Reconstruction of Van Buren Road - Everson City Limits to
9 Hampton Road. The Contract for this project is awarded to Wilder Construction, Inc. in the
10 amount of their bid of $605,565.20.
11 An appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on the County

Bid proposals for the subject project were opened at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 1996.
Based on our review of the seven bids received, we recommend that the Contract for the
subject project be awarded to the low bidder, Wilder Construction Inc., in the amount of
$605,565.20 including taxes.
This project is funded under Item No. 17 under the 1996 construction budget. The funds are
adequate to complete the project. Local and Federal funds are involved.
Attached for your review is a Whatcom County Council Agenda Bill, Resolution for Contract
Award, Project Cost Breakdown, Whatcom County Contract Information Sheet, tabulation of
all bids and a copy of the low bid proposal. Please signify on the Approval For Contract
Award page your approval to award the Contract to Wilder Construction Inc.

"Reconstruction of Van Buren Road - Everson City Limits to Hampton
