The 1996 Annual Construction Program has as project number 3, the signalization of the Airport Drive /Bennett
Drive /W. Bakerview Road intersection. This Project will be paid for with a combination of TIA, NHS, Port of
Bellingham and local funds.
ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION. Recommend establishment of CRP 994005 and approval of award
of Contract to the low bidder, Sail Electric, Inc. in the amount of $259, 947.95.

2 ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 994005
3 AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR SIGNALIZATION OF
4 AIRPORT DRIVE /BENNETT DRIVE /W. BAKERVIEW ROAD
5 WHEREAS, This project is included in the officially adopted Annual Road Program as
6 item number 3.
7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that CRP
8 994005 is formally established for the Signalization of Airport Drive /Bennett Drive/W.
9 Bakerview Road. The Contract for this project is awarded to Sail Electric, Inc. in the amount
10 of their bid of $259,947.95.
11 An appropriation from the officially adopted Road fund budget and based on the County
12 Road Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes shown:
13 PURPOSE AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION
14 Preliminary Engineering $ 40,000.00
15 Right -of -Way Acquisition $ 10,000.00
16 SUBTOTAL $ 55.000.00
