NO / / M / X / Requested date: The ADS /Information Services Manager has determined that the County no longer has a use for the phone system that at the Health Department, as it is not compatible with the PBX. The purchasing agent has determined the system tv ve surplus. If the Council resolves to sell, the system will be sold be sold by bid. ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION: I move that the Council hold a public hearing and, if appropriate, resolve to sell the property. Ordinance or Resolution Number (this item only): Res. 96 -016 SPONSORED BY Consent- PROPOSED BY: Administrative S rvi r _G DATE INTRODUCED: 4/2/96 RESOLUTION NO. 96 -016 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE SALE OF A SURPLUS TELEPHONE SYSTEM AND THE SETTING OF A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING THEREON PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10 WHEREAS, an AT &T Merlin telephone system is the property of Whatcom County; and WHEREAS, the county purchasing agent has determined that it is in the best interest of the county to sell such property, and has set its value at an amount in excess of $1,000; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that a public hearing on the matter of the sale of such property be held on the a 1116 , 1996 at 7 .. n i or as soon thereafter as is possible, in the Whatcom County Council Chambers at 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham, Washington, for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against the propriety of selling such equipment; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County Council is directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law.
