NO /X / YES /J Requested date: The Whatcom County Fleet Manager has determined that the cost to repair a wrecked 1993 Ford Crown Victoria Sheriff patrol sedan, SN 2FALP71W4PX171080, would exceed the value of the vehicle. The Purchasing Agent has determined vehicle to be surplus. If the Council resolves to sell, the car will be sold at public auction by James G. Murphy Co. in �znmore, WA, at the next regularly scheduled sale. ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION. Pass. Resolution #96 -001 elated File Numbers: Ordinance or Resolution Number (this item only): kes_ -W 9(-,,, -bbl SPONSORED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: Administrative Services DATE INTRODUCED: 12/12/95 RESOLUTION NO. 96 -001 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10 WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on 1/2/96 , 1995 to discuss the sale of Whatcom County property; and WHEREAS, it was determined to be in the best interest of Whatcom County to sell a wrecked 1993 Ford Crown Victoria Sheriff patrol sedan, SN 2FALP71 W4PX171080; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the property shall be sold at public auction subsequent to compliance with the notice requirements of WCC 1.10.; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that where there is no bid within the advertised terms the County may withdraw the property from sale, or if the county deems such action to be in the public interest, reject any or all bids either written or oral, and thereafter negotiate the sale of the property providing the negotiated price is higher than the highest bid at the public sale and that the public has notice by advertisement, under Section 1.10.190, and an opportunity to compete, through mailed bids, for purchase by offer of a more favorable price.
