The Public Works Department manages the WCFCZD fund, and it is required that a financial officer for this fund be appointed
for the purpose of authorizing transfers to and from the investment / cost account for the fund's own benefit. This
appointment is contingent upon passage of the 1998 WCFCZD budget and the recommendation from the Citizen Advisory
Committee for the fund to receive the direct benefit of its investment earnings.

7 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A FINANCIAL OFFICER
8 FOR THE WHATCOM COUNTY
9 FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT
10 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is responsible for the management of the
11 WCFCZD fund.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the WCFCZD Board of Supervisors that the
3 Director of the Public Works Department or his designee be appointed as the WCFCZD financial
14. officer and is hereby responsible for the management of the district's investment funds and
15 authorized to direct the transfer of funds between the district's various cash accounts for the direct
16 benefit of the fund, until such time of further resolution by the Board.
