Res. #97 -049 lance or Resolution Number (this item only): `�e's. ar 9 -7- o49 SPONSORED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: Treasurer INTRODUCTION DATE: 8/12/97 RESOLUTION NO. 97 -049 2 TO SELL COUNTY TAX -TITLE PROPERTY 3 REQUEST NO. 97 -2 4 WHEREAS, RCW 36.34.010 allows the County to sell real estate belonging to the County 5 where it is found to be in the best interest of Whatcom County to sell the same; and, 6 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee recommends the sale of 7 the subject property; 8 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County and 9 the people thereof that said property be sold; and, 10 WHEREAS, RCW 84.64 requires the Council to establish the minimum price for said unit of 11 property and to determine whether or not a contract will be allowed or if it will be a cash price; 12 WHEREAS, the assessed value is less than five years old and below $15,000 so dismissing 13 further market evaluation as defined in Whatcom County Ordinance 96 -036; 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County to sell 15 parcel #380132 - 481194 -0000 with legal description of: 16 HUNTER PARK 17 N 25 FT OF S 75 FT LOT 1 BLK 7 18 to the highest and best bidder, for no less than $10.00 plus costs, 19 10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed under contract and shall. 11 be paid in either cash, cashier's check, or money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the time 22 of sale: 23 APPROVED this 9 day of September , 1997. 24 WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL 25 ST• WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON 26 � \ 27 ro avis, ounce Clerk L.
