The 1997 Annual Construction Program has as project number 20, the replacement of Marine Drive Bridge No.
4 Over Portage Slough. This Project will be paid for with local and Federal (BRS) funds.
ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION. Recommend Establishment of CRP- 995021, the Replacement of
Marine Drive Bridge No 4 Over Portage Slough, and approval of award of Contract to the low bidder, Impero
Construction Co. in the amount of $407,310.00.

2 ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 995021
3 AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR REPLACEMENT OF
4 MARINE DRIVE BRIDGE NO. 4-OVER PORTAGE SLOUGH
5 WHEREAS, This project is included in the officially adopted 1997 Annual Road
6 Program as item number 20.
7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that
8 CRP 995021 is formally established for the Replacement of Marine Drive Bridge No. 4
9 Over Portage Slough. The Contract for this project is awarded to Impero
10 Construction Co. in the amount of their low bid of $407,310.00.
11 An appropriation from the officially adopted Road fund budget and based on the
12 County Road Engineer's estimate is. hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes
13 shown:
