Summary: The 1997 Annual Construction Program has as Project Number 4, Reconstruction of East Smith Road,
Hannegan Road to Noon Road is being supported by State Rural Arterial Program Funds and Local Whatcom County
Funds.
ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION.
Resolution establishing CRP 995008 the Reconstruction of East Smith Road, Hannegan Road to Noon Road, and
approval of award of contract to the lowest responsive bidder, Wilder Construction Company, Inc. in the amount
of $ 1,606,180.97.

2 ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 995008
3 AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF
4 EAST SMITH ROAD, HANNEGAN ROAD TO NOON ROAD
5 WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted Annual Road Program as
6 Item No. 4.
7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that CRP
8 995008 is formally established for the Reconstruction of East Smith Road, Hannegan Road to
9 Noon Road. The Contract for this project is awarded to Wilder Construction Company, Inc.
10 in the amount of their bid of $1,606,180.97.
11 An appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on the County
12 Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes shown:
