Summary: The 1997 Annual Construction Program has a Project No. 8, the Structural Overlay of Birch Bay -
Lynden Road. This project will be paid for with local and State funds.
ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION.-
Recommend establishment of CRP 997003, the Structural Overlay of Birch Bay - Lynden Road and approval of
award of contract to the lowest bidder, Wilder Construction, in the amount of $ 682,504.00.

ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 997003
AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE STRUCTURAL OVERLAY OF
BIRCH BAY - LYNDEN ROAD
-WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted Annual Road Program
as Item No. 8.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 997003 is formally established for the Structural Overlay of Birch Bay -
Lynden Road, Blaine Road to Portal Way.
The Contract for this project is awarded to Wilder Construction in the amount of
their bid of $682,504.00; and
An appropriation from the officially adopted Road Fund Budget and based on the
County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes
shown:
