RESOLUTION NO. 97 -014
TO SELL COUNTY TAX -TITLE PROPERTY
REQUEST NO. 97 -1
WHEREAS, RCW 36.34.010 allows the County to sell real estate belonging to the County
where it is found to be in the best interest of Whatcom County to sell the same; and,
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee recommends the sale of
the subject property;
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County
and the people thereof that said property be sold; and,
WHEREAS, RCW 84.64 requires the Council to establish the minimum price for said unit
of property and to determine whether or not a contract will be allowed or if it will be a cash price;
WHEREAS, the assessments are less than five years old and below $15,000 so dismissing
further market evaluation as defined in Whatcom County Ordinance 96 -036;
NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County to sell
parcel #390534- 283272 -0000 with legal description of:
S 199.97 FT OF W 217.77 FT OF GOVT LOT 5 - to the highest and best bidder, for no
SITUATE IN SEC 34 TOWNSHIP 39 RANGE 5 EAST, less than $ 1403.76
SUBJECT TO AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD plus costs; and
PURPOSES, OVER AND ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF SAID PARCEL, CENTERED ON THE
ROADWAY AS NOW CONSTRUCTED,

35 such property at not less than the certified price and said sale shall take place in accordance with the
6 duties as established in RCW 36.34.010.
