Whatcom County Council office has received two new applications for WA -CERT project funding. Water District #10 has
submitted 1.) an application for a Lake Louise Interceptor, and 2.) Sudden Valley Detention Basin. Also, Three projects that
had previously been prioritized have since been funded or withdrawn. Of the remaining projects, Council has the option to 1.)
re- prioritize the unfunded projects , 2.) keep the existing projects as they are currently prioritized, with the option to add the
new projects to the bottom of the list, and 3.) remove any projects from the list as they see fit.

3 PROJECTS FOR THE WASHINGTON COMMUNITY ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION

TEAM (WA -CERT)
5 WHEREAS, the Washington Community Economic Revitalization Team (WA -CERT)
6 has established pre - application requirements for proposals under the Presidents's Economic
7 Adjustment Initiative for timber impacted communities; and
3 WHEREAS, the pre - application requirements mandate that the County pass a
9 resolution of support and establish numerical priorities for proposals submitted to WA-
10 CERT for 1997 funding consideration; and
11 WHEREAS, on June 20, 1995 and December 12, 1995, the Whatcom County Council
12 prioritized various project proposals; and
13 WHEREAS, several of the current prioritized projects have been funded by
14 WA -CERT or withdrawn from the project list and an updated priority list is needed;

I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the
2 recommended prioritization of all projects received to date are as listed in Exhibit A to this
3 resolution.
