The 1996 Annual Construction Program has as project number 13, the replacement of Lindsay Road Bridge No.
305 Over the Sumas River. This Project will be paid for with local and Federal (BROS) funds. Also included
in this project is the Maintenance Overlay of Bridge No. 304 Over the Sumas River. This work will utilize some
of the same materials as the nearby replacement work and was included in the project for economy. The
maintenance overlay will be paid for with local funds.
ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDEDACTION.• Recommend Establishment of CRP- 995003, the Replacement of
Lindsay Road Bridge No 305 Over the Sumas River and the Maintenance Overlay of Bridge No. 304 Over The
Sumas River, and approval of award of Contract to the low bidder, One -Way Construction Co. in the amount
of $235,768.50.

2 ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 995003
3 AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR REPLACEMENT OF
4 LINDSAY ROAD BRIDGE NO.305 OVER THE SUMAS RIVER,
5 AND MAINTENANCE OVERLAY OF LINDSAY ROAD BRIDGE
6 NO. 304 OVER THE SUMAS RIVER
7 WHEREAS, This project is included in the officially adopted 1996 Annual Road
8 Program as item number 13.
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that
10 CRP 995003 is formally established for the Replacement of Lindsay Road Bridge No. 305
11 Over The Sumas river, and the Maintenance Overlay of Lindsay Road Bridge No. 304 Over
12 the Sumas River. The Contract for this project is awarded to One -Way Construction Co.
13 in the amount of their low bid of $235,768.50.
14 An appropriation from the officially adopted Road fund budget and based on the
15 County Road Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes
16 shown:
