A Resolution by the Governing Body
of the County -wide Flood Control Zone District
hereinafter referred to as the
Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District ( WCFCZD)
RESOLUTION NO. 98-070
AMENDING RESOLUTION 97 -051 TO ADJUST DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES DESIGNATED FORESTLANDS ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT
UNDER WCFCZD FUNDING MECHANISM
WHEREAS, the WCFCZD was duly created by Whatcom County Ordinance 91 -076 to
provide an organization and structure to address flood damage reduction in Whatcom County;
and,
WHEREAS, Whatcom County Resolution 97- 051was enacted to amend the WCFCZD
established funding mechanism in order to allow the Department of Natural Resources
Designated Forestlands (DNRDF) to be treated similarly to privately held forestlands; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has requested in accordance
with Section 14 of the resolution that certain changes be made to the Designated Forestlands Roll
identified as Exhibit `B" in the resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the WCFCZD Board of Supervisors that
the Designated Forestlands Roll be amended by the County Assessor to:
1. Add the following parcels which the County Assessor has found to be consistent with
other DNR properties on the roll:
