RESOLUTION NO. 98-053
TO SELL COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY
REQUEST NO. 98 -8
1 WHEREAS; RCW 36.34.010 allows the County to sell real estate belonging to the County
2 where it is found to be in the best interest of Whatcom County to sell the same; and,
3 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee recommends the sale of
4 subject property for the purpose of intergovernmental sales as per R.C.W. 36.34.130; and,
5 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County
6 and the people thereof that said property be used for a public purpose by another governmental
7 ' agency; and,

WHEREAS, the assessments are less than five years old and below $15,000 so
dismissing further market evaluation as defined in Whatcom County Ordinance 96 -036;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County to
dispose of

CENTRAL WHATCOM BLK: 18 LOT: 2 -3 SUBJ TO ESMT TO CITY FOR SLOPE FILL
DESC AF 733696.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive is authorized to negotiate the
transfer of this property to another governmental agency as he deems appropriate.
