Summary: The 1998 Annual Construction Program has a Project No. 8, the Structural Overlay of Everson - Goshen
Rd. Hemmi Rd. to SR 544. This project will be paid for with local and State funds.
ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommend establishment of CRP 998003, the Structural Overlay of Everson - Goshen Rd. and approval of award
of contract to the lowest bidder, Wilder Construction, in the amount of $ 526,445.00.

RESOLUTION NO. 98 -010
ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 998003
AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE STRUCTURAL OVERLAY OF EVERSON-
GOSHEN ROAD, HEMMI ROAD TO SR 544
WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted
Annual Road Program as Item No. 8.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County. Council:
That CRP 998003 is formally established for the Structural
Overlay of Everson - Goshen Rd., Hemmi Road to SR 544.
The Contract for this project is awarded to Wilder
Construction in the amount of their bid of $526,445.00; and
An appropriation from the officially adopted Road Fund Budget
and based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in
the amounts and for the purposes shown:
PURPOSE AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION
Preliminary Engineering $ 30,000.00
Right -of -Way $ 5,000.00
Subtotal $35,000.00
Construction $526,445.00
Construction-Engineering $ 35,000.-00
Total
$596,445.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction is to be
accomplished by Contract in accordance with RCW 36.77.020 et.
seq.
