UMMARYSTATEMENT:
Resolution establishing CRP 998010for the Intersection
Signalization of East Bakerview Road at James Street Road. Also
approval to award contract to the Soto& Sons Construction LLC as

ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 998010
AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE
INTERSECTION SIGNALIZATION OF
EAST BAKERVIEW ROAD AT JAMES STREET ROAD
WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted Annual Road Program as Item
No. 10B.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 998010 is formally established for the Intersection Signalization of East
Bakerview Road at James Street Road.
The Contract for this project is awarded to Soto & Sons Construction, LLC in the amount
of their bid of $ 491,173.60.
An appropriation from the officially adopted Road Fund Budget and based on the County
Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes shown:

Preliminary Engineering $ 42,000.00
Right -of -Way $ 33,000.00
Subtotal $ 759000.00
Construction Contract T4919173.60
Construction Engineering S 70,000.00

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction is to be accomplished by Contract in
accordance with RCW 36.77.020 et. seq.
