Enclosed are two agenda bills, to set a hearing and to adopt a resolution to sell surplus
property pursuant to the County Code.
Background & Purpose
As necessary, the County arranges to sell surplus property that is no longer of use to
the County. Surplus goods that could possibly be used in another County application
are kept in storage and made available to requesting departments. Those items that
are of no possible use, are sold at public auction pursuant to the County Code.
The monies received from the auction are returned to the General Fund or the ER &R
Fund.
This is the standard process for disposing of surplus goods.
