RESOLUTION NO. 9000 -007
HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY
REQUEST NO. 00 -1
1 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of the
2 County of Whatcom, State of Washington since November 19, 1999; and,
3 WHEREAS, the adjacent property owners were notified prior to tax foreclosure sale of the
4 same date and no acceptable bids were received; and
5 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee recommends the
6 property be sold by negotiation as per R.C.W. 84.64.320 for no less than the principal taxes,
7 interest, penalty, title search and foreclosure costs; and
8 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council recommends its sale by negotiation; and,
9 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County
10 and the people thereof that said property be sold for no less than the principal taxes, interest,
I1 penalty, title search and foreclosure costs; and,
12 WHEREAS, Resolution 95 -005 designated the Whatcom County Treasurer as negotiator
13 in such sales; and,
14 WHEREAS, RCW 84.64 requires the Council to establish the minimum price for said units
15 of property and to determine whether or not a contract will be allowed, or if it will be a cash price;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County to sell
17 for a price to be negotiated by the Whatcom County Treasurer, the following parcels:

27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatoom County Council, that a public hearing on the
28 matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the day of March 2000,
29 at 7 p.m., at the Council Chambers , Whatcom County, Washington; and,
30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall give
31 notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under RCW 36.34.030.
