Resolution requesting additional information on the proposed creation of a Point Roberts Special Recreation Service Area. The
Wha[com County Council received a petition from the PL Roberts Chamber of Commerce in support of the creation of a Pt.
Roberts Special Recreation Service Area. The Council is requesting the Point Roberts Chamber of Commerce provide
additional supporting information, studies or reports to the Council no later than January 14, 2003, for further consideration in
accordance with chapter 36.68 RCW.

RESOLUTION NO. 2002 -045
REQUESTING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE PROPOSED CREATION OF A
POINT ROBERTS SPECIAL RECREATION SERVICE AREA
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2002, the Whatcom County Council received a
petition from the Point Roberts Chamber of Commerce in support of the creation of a
Pt. Roberts Special Recreation Service Area; and
WHEREAS, attached to the petition was a certificate of sufficiency signed by the
Whatcom County Auditor certifying that the petition contained the signatures of at
least ten percent of the registered voters within the proposed recreation service area
boundaries; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 36.68, the Council has this date requested
additional information concerning the proposal from the Point Roberts Chamber of
Commerce.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the
Point Roberts Chamber of Commerce is hereby requested to provide additional
supporting information, studies or reports to the Council no later than January 14,
2003, for further consideration in accordance with chapter 36.68 RCW.
