Approved 6 -0, Fleetwood absent, Res. #2002 -030 RelatE „f Prosecutor Public Works SheriB Superior Count Treasurer Other Ordinance or Reso[Ntion N tuber (this item): R� V0 SPONSORED BY: .Consent PROPOSED BY: Executive DATE INTRODUCED: 6/18/02 RESOLUTION NO. 2002 -030 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10 WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on, June 18, 9002 to discuss the sale of Whatcom County property; and WHEREAS, it was determined to be in the best interest of Whatcom County to sell the property listed in Exhibit "A" and such property shall be sold by public auction on August 6 or after, subsequent to compliance with the notice requirements of WCC 1.10.200: and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the property listed in Exhibit "A" be sold at public auction on August 6 or thereafter pursuant to the notice requirements of WCC 1.10.200: and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that where there is no bid within the advertised terms the County may withdraw the property from sale, or if the County deems such action to be in the public interest, reject any or all bids either written or oral, and thereafter negotiate the sale of the property providing the negotiated price is higher that the highest bid at the public sale and that the public has notice by advertisement, under Section 1.10.200, and an opportunity to compete, through mailed bids, for the purchase by offer of a more favorable price APPROVED this 16th day of July ,2002.
