SUMMfRYSTATEMENT.
Due to recent development activities, and various traffic analyses, the
County Engineer's office performed a review of various intersections,
and found that conditions warrant the installation of stop signs at
various locations on certain County roads.

ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found necessary
and expedient to modify traffic control signs on certain County Roads; and
WHEREAS, an engineering study was conducted by the County Engineer's office; and it
is found that conditions warrant intersectional control modification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
intersectional traffic control be modified at the following locations:
1) Install a stop sign southbound on Ham Road at Burlington Northern railroad
crossing, Section 28, Township 40 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
2) Install a stop sign northbound on Ham Road at Burlington Northern railroad
crossing, Section 28, Township 40 North, Range I East, W.M.
3) Install a stop sign northbound on Barr Road at Unick Road, Section 35, Township
39 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
4) Install a stop sign eastbound on Ruston Way at Britton Loop Road, Section 10,
Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
5) Install a stop sign eastbound on Keystone Way at Britton Loop Road, Section 10,
Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
6) Install a stop sign southbound on Track Street at Keystone Way, Section 10,
Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
7) Install a stop sign northbound on Gloria Lane at Britton Loop Road, Section 15,
Township 38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
8) Install a stop sign northbound on Gloria Lane at Ava Lane, Section 15, Township
38 North, Range 3 East, W.M.
9) Install a stop sign eastbound on Ava Lane at Gloria Lane, Section 15, Township

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install the
appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff be notified by a copy of this ordinance.
Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code, Section 10.16.
ADOPTED this 22 day of July, 2003.
