AMENDING WHATCOM COUNTY CODE 2.54.010
OFFICE HOURS
WHEREAS, Whatcom County Code 2.54.010 presently provides that the license
department in the auditor's office shall be open on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.;
WHEREAS, the auditor's office ceased to remain open until 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays
because it was not cost - effective and services were available to the public after hours at
licensing and titling sub - agencies; and
WHEREAS, RCW 36.16.100 allows the County Council to establish county office
hours;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
Whatcom County Code 2.54.010 is hereby amended as follows:
2.54.010 Office Hours.
The hours during which Whatcom County offices shall be
kept open for the transaction of business shall be from 8:30
a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; _ ..idea tL... the l:,..._.....,.._...,._.._t in the
