HomeMy WebLinkAboutres2003-041SPONSORED BY: Executive PROPOSED BY: Executive INTRODUCTION DATE: 6/3/2003 RESOLUTION NO. 2003 -041 AMENDING RESOLUTION 2002 -016 AND RE- PRIORITIZING WHATCOM COUNTY PROJECTS FOR THE WASHINGTON COMMUNITY ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION TEAM (WA -CERT) WHEREAS, the Washington Community Economic Revitalization Team (WA- CERT) has established pre - application requirements for proposals under the President's Economic Adjustment Initiative for timber impacted communities; and WHEREAS, the pre - application requirements mandate that the county legislative authority pass a resolution of support and establish numerical priorities for proposals submitted to WA -CERT for year 2003 funding consideration; and WHEREAS, on June 17, the Whatcom County Council prioritized the most recent set of project proposals; and WHEREAS, the deadline for submitting a prioritized list of projects to WA -CERT is July 1, 2003; and, WHEREAS, several of the current prioritized projects have either been funded or withdrawn from the project list. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the recommended prioritization of all projects received to date is as listed in Exhibit A to this resolution.
