RESOLUTION NO. 2003-024
HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY
REQUEST NO. 050503
I WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property
2 of the County of Whatcom, State of Washington since: as noted per parcel below and,
3 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of
4 the County and the people thereof that said property be sold; and,
5 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee
6 recommends the sale of the subject property;
7 WHEREAS, per RCW 36.35.150 (1), the county legislative authority may dispose of
8 tax foreclosed property by private negotiation, without a call for bids, for not less than the
9 principal amount of the unpaid taxes when the sale is to any governmental agency and for
10 public purposes; and;
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County
12 to sell:
13 Parcel # 380306.122342.0000
14 E 30 FT OF GOVT LOTS 5 -6 -EXC S 30 FT -N 20 FT FOR RD -E 30 FT OF
15 GOVT LOT 7 -EXC N 30 FT -S 20 FT FOR RD
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public
17 hearing on the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on
IS the 25 day of March 2003, at 7 p.m., at the Council Chambers
19 Whatcom County, Washington; and,
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council
21 shall give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under RCW
22 36.34.030.
