RESOLUTION NO. 2003 -019
SUPPORTING INCLUSION OF THE KENDALL COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER
AS A HIGH PRIORITY PROJECT FOR THE LOCAL WA -CERT PRIORITY LIST
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council continually looks for proposals that
incorporate the Economics Chapter of the Whatcom County Comprehensive Plan,
and
WHEREAS, the Kendall Community Resource Center fulfills goals of the
Economics Chapter of the Whatcom County Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council believes that the Kendall Community
Resource Center can assist in promoting jobs and economic and community
development in the Foothills area,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council
supports the Kendall Community Resource Center as a high priority project for the
local WA -CERT priority list.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council considers the
Kendal Community Resource Center to be the highest priority for Rural Community
Assistance Funds administered by the USDA Forest Service.
