TO SURPLUS COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY
REVERSION TO NORTH WEST INDUSTRIES, INC (NWI)
REQUEST NO. 2005 -07
t WHEREAS, RCW 36.34.005 allows the County to establish comprehensive
2 procedures for management of county property consistent with the public interest, and;
3 WHEREAS, counties establishing such procedures shall be exempt from the
4 provisions of chapter 36.34 RCW, and!
5 WHEREAS, Whatcom County has established comprehensive procedures for county
6 property under Whatcom County Code 1. 10, and;
7 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee recommends
8 said property be declared surplus for the purpose of reversion as required by the 1987
9 agreement with North West Industries; and,
io WHEREAS, Whatcom County held a public hearing on this date to determine if it is
ii in the best interests of Whatcom County to surplus the below described property. After said
12 hearing the Council does determine that it is in the best interests of Whatcom County to
13 declare this property surplus for the purpose of reversion as required by the 1987
14 agreement with North West Industries;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County to
16 surplus said property for the purpose of reversion as required by the 1987 agreement with
17 North West Industries;

20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive is authorized to deed this property
21 for the purpose of reversion as required by the 1987 agreement with North West Industries
