Once adopted and signed, ordinances and resolutions are available for viewing and printing on the County's website at. www.co.whatcom.wau&1counciL SPONSORED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: Treasurer INTRODUCTION DATE: 9127/2005 2 3 RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -056 4 5 TO SELL COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY 6 REQUEST NO. 2005 -04 7 WHEREAS, RCW 36.35.120 allows the County to sell real estate acquired by tax 8 foreclosure where it is found to be in the best interest of Whatcom County to sell the 9 same; and, 10 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee ii recommends the sale of the subject property by public auction to effectively meet the 12 legal requirement for disposal; and, 13 WHEREAS, RCW 36.35.120 requires the Council to establish the minimum price 14 for said unit of property and to determine whether or not a contract will be allowed, or if 15 it will be a cash price; and, 16 - WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Code as well as the state law allows the 17 County to reserve from the sale coal, oil, gas, gravel, mineral, ores, fossils, timber or 18 other resources if the Council finds that it is in the best interest to reserve these; 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the 20 County to sell: 21 Parcel # 380208 - 427312 -0000 22 W 1/2 OF VAC CO RD 35 AS VAC CP VOL 51 PG 237 ABTG TR DAF -BEG AT SW 23 COR OF SW SE NE -TH N 660 FT M/L TO NW COR OF SW SE NE -TH E ALG N LI 24 360 FT M/L TO W LI OF SD CO RD -TH SLY ALG W LI OF SD CO RD TO S LI OF SW 25 SE NE -TH W ALG S 1-1 210 FT M/L TO BEG SEC 08 TWN 38 RGE 2E 26 to the highest and best bidder; Minimum bid $649.93.
