RESOLUTION NO. 2006-041
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY
PURSUANT TO WCC I.10
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on, JuiY 11 ,2006 to discuss the sale of Whatcom
County property; and
WHEREAS, it was determined to be in the best interest of Whatcom County to sell the property listed in
Exhibit "A" and such property shall be sold by public auction on or after July 2006, subsequent to
compliance with the notice requirements of WCC 1,I0.200: and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the property listed in Exhibit "A" be sold at public auction
on or after July 2006 pursuant to the notice requirements of WCC 1.10.200: and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that where there is no bid within the advertised terms the County may
withdraw the property from sale, or if the County deems such action to be in the public interest, reject any
or all bids either written or oral, and thereafter negotiate the sale of the property providing the negotiated
price is higher that the highest bid at the public sale and that the public has notice by advertisement, under
Section 1.10.200, and an opportunity to compete, through mailed bids, for the purchase by offer of a more
favorable price

It has been determined that the mobile home used by the Sheriffs Deputy posted at
Point Roberts is in need of replacement. This is a 28 x 44, three bedroom, two bath
mobile home, built in 1989. Administrative Services is requesting approval to sell the
building along with the deck & stairs by public auction.
The target carrier system at the Plantation Rifle range is due for replacement and
Administrative Services is requesting approval to sell this unit at auction.
Dates for the sale of these items has not been established.
