AMENDING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 999022
AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE
"CABLE STREET, PHASE I— GENEVA STORMWATER RETROFITS"

WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted 2006 Annual Construction
Program under Item No. 10;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 999022 is formally amended for the Cable Street, Phase I- Geneva Stormwater
Retrofits.
The Contract for this project is awarded to Ram Construction General Contractors, Inc., in
the amount of their bid of $712,675.00.
An appropriation from the officially adopted Road Fund Budget and based on the
County Road Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes
shown:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the work program to be performed under the bid award
is amended to remove Wall Street from the program, with no diversion of water to the
Wall Street until issues with the community concerning that portion are resolved to the
satisfaction of the County Council; with appropriate change orders to reflect this
modification; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction is to be accomplished by Contract in
accordance with RCW 36.77.020 et. seq.
