HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY
REQUEST NO. TR2006 -03
1 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property
2 of the County of Whatcom, State of Washington since: as noted per parcel below and,
3 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of
4 the County and the people thereof that said property be sold; and,
5 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County The Property Management Committee
6 recommends that the resolution be passed to effectively meet the legal requirement for
7 the disposal;
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the
9 County to sell:
10 Tax -Title Parcel # 400404.025255.0000
11 TRIANGULAR TRACT LOCATED IN SECTION 4, TOWNSHIP 40 NORTH, RANGE 4
12 EAST OF W.M LYING NORTH OF CHICAGO MILWAUKEE ST PAUL AND PACIFIC
13 RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY IN NORTHWEST SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID
14 SECTION, TOWNSHIP, AND RANGE
15 For the principal taxes, interest, penalty, title search and foreclosure costs total
16 $423.92 to the highest and best bidder; and,
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public
18 hearing on the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the
19 14 day of March 2006, at 7:00 p.m., at the Courthouse
20 Whatcom County, Washington; and,
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council
22 shall give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under RCW
23 36.34.030.
