TO SET HEARING AND
NOTICE OF HEARING OF THE
SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY
BY NEGOTIATION
REQUEST NO. 2006 -02

WHEREAS, the following described property is
now, and
has been
the property of

the County of Whatcom, State of Washington since:

below and,
3 WHEREAS, the adjacent property owners were notified prior to tax foreclosure sale
4 of the same date and no acceptable bids were received; and,
5 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee
6 recommends that the resolution be passed to effectively meet the legal requirement for
7 the disposal by negotiation per RCW 36.35.150(3), when the property has an assessed
8 value of less than five hundred dollars and the property is sold to an adjoining
9 landowner,

11 For no less than the principal taxes, interest, penalties, title search and foreclosure
12 costs of $433.24 and,
13 WHEREAS, The principal taxes, interest, penalties, title search and foreclosure
14 costs total $433.24 and,
15 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee recommends
16 its sale by negotiation; and,
17 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the
18 County and the people thereof that said property be sold for no less than the principal
19 Taxes, interest, penalties, title search and foreclosure costs; and,
20 WHEREAS, Resolution 95 -005 designated the Whatcom County Treasurer as
21 negotiator in such sales; and,
22 WHEREAS, RCW 36.35.120 requires the Council to establish the minimum price for
23 said units of property and to determine whether or not a contract will be allowed, or if it will
24 be a cash price;
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County
26 to sell for a price to be negotiated by the Whatcom County Treasurer, the following Tax -
27 Title property acquired 12/04/1998, Tax foreclosure case #1590:

31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public
32 hearing on the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on
33 the 31siday of San. 2006, at 7:00 p.m.,atthe Whatcom County Courthouse

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall
give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under RCW 36.34.030.
