COMMITTEEACTION: COUNCIL ACTION.• 12/5/2006: Council Adopted 7 -0 Ord. 2006 -062 Related County Contract #: Related File Numbers: Ordinance or Resolution Number: Ord. 2006 -062 Please Note: Once adopted and signed, ordinances and resolutions are available for viewing and printing on the County's wehsite at: www.co.whatcom.wa.us /counciG INTRODUCED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: County Executive DATE: December 5, 2006 ORDINANCE NO. 2006 -062 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF THE 2006 UNIFIED FEE SCHEDULE FOR 60 DAYS OR UNTIL ADOPTION OF THE 2007 UNIFIED FEE SCHEDULE WHEREAS, on December 6, 2005 the Whatcom County Council adopted the 2006 Unified Fee Schedule; and WHEREAS, the adoption of the 2007 Unified Fee Schedule has been delayed to allow time for additional review and discussion; and WHEREAS, the Council will not meet again until January of 2007; and WHEREAS, Section 2.40 of the Whatcom County Charter allows for the adoption of an Emergency Ordinance when necessary for the support of county government; and WHEREAS, it is imperative for the immediate financial support of county government to have a fee schedule in effect, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED by the Whatcom County Council that the 2006 Unified Fee Schedule will remain in effect for 60 days or until the 2007 Unified Fee Schedule is adopted, whichever comes first. .�HAT000 APPROVfbf4p -M) 0 1 �11mill Civil Deputy Prosecutor December 2006.
