Whatcom County seeks by resolution, to accept a portion of a proposed newly constructed road, on Delta Line Road from 400 feet north of Grandview Road and including all of the roadway curving west and accessing Vista Drive. This new portion is to be known as Delta Line Road. The County offers the following pertinent facts to support the establishment; The existing access to Delta Line Road off Grandview Road does not meet the required minimum sight distance and minimum turning radius. The new realignment of Delta Line Road allows for a safe access meeting sight distance and safe turning radius requirements. The 400 -foot leg of Delta Line Road between the new portion and Grandview Road will be closed after the approval, acceptance, and opening of the newly constructed portion. The County Council approved the closure of the 400 -foot leg between the new portion and Grandview Road on 2124104, Whatcom County requests County Council accepts and adopts the road, right -of -way, and drainage easements upon acceptance of the construction improvements by Whatcom County Public Works, and completion of the right -of -way acquisition.
