RESOLUTION NO. 2007 --034
INITIATING ZONING TEXT AMENDMENTS BROUGHT FORWARD BY COUNTY
COUNCIL MEMBERS TO BE ADDED TO THE WHATCOM COUNTY CODE TITLE 20
ANNUAL AMENDMENT DOCKET
WHEREAS, the provisions of WCC 20.90.030 requires the Whatcom County
Council to initiate by resolution all non - emergency amendments to Whatcom County
Code (WCC) Title 20 being brought forward by the Council; and
WHEREAS, Council members submitted five proposed amendments to WCC
Title 20 to the Whatcom County Planning and Development Services Department prior
to the June 30th, 2007 docketing deadline; and
WHEREAS, initiation of these amendments allows Whatcom County Planning
and Development Services Department staff to prepare staff reports and
recommendations on these amendments for the appropriate hearing body; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council has reviewed these proposed
amendments enough to see the value in moving them forward to the Whatcom County
Planning and Development Services Department staff for further investigation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Whatcom County Council
hereby initiates for formal review the amendments shown on attached Exhibit A.
